Thanks to the Swansea Academy of Inclusivity and Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching (SALT) for the invitation to contribute to the revised PSF 2023: Demonstrating Inclusive Practices post on inclusive practices in teaching!

I will be part of the Program Committee serving as Associate Chair (AC) for next year’s ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI’25) and the CM SIGCHI Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work & Social Computing (CSCW’25).

We had a great time during the workshop “Conducting Interdisciplinary Research with Vulnerable Populations in Computing: Challenges, Practices, and Lessons Learned” that took place both online and in-person in Rimini, Italy as a pre-conference event as part of the 22nd European Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (ECSCW’24 Conference). I have received a Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) Impact Fund to help me network with community leaders and stakeholders for research involving the Armed Forces & Veterans.

I was invited to give a virtual talk along Prof. Alan Dix during the OffTheCanvas Prelude symposioum as part of pre-India HCI 2024 events.

It was great to visit the HCI group in the Dept. of Computer Science at Cardiff University. I was invited to give a talk during a visit where PhD students met and exchanged research experiences with students from the HCI group in Imperial College London!

Abhishek Roy will present our CHI2024 paper led by the amazing Ashlee Milton and Stevie Chancellor (University of Minnesota GroupLens). Paper title: “Seeking in Cycles: How Users Leverage Personal Information Ecosystems to Find Mental Health Information”. The talk will be held in room 316B on Wed May 15th at 10am (Hawaii Time).

I will be participating as academic mentor in the doctoral consortium event during the South West UK Pre-CHI Conference. The conference will place in person at the University of West England in the city of Bristol, UK.

I will be giving a remote guest lecture in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame on April 15th at 3:30pm (ET).
